Stellar Medical Group has partnered with Sonora Quest Laboratories to provide convenient onsite laboratory services for our patients.

An onsite blood draw at your Primary Care Provider (PCP) office allows you to have your blood sample collected during your visit, eliminating the need to travel to a separate laboratory location in most cases.

What to Expect

Scheduling
If your healthcare provider orders laboratory testing, your blood draw may be performed during your office visit or scheduled for a later date based on your provider's recommendations.

Onsite Blood Draw
A trained Sonora Quest phlebotomist or qualified laboratory professional will collect your blood sample at our office. This may take place during your routine appointment or at a separately scheduled laboratory visit.

Sample Collection
The blood sample is typically collected from a vein in your arm using standard, safe collection procedures. The sample is then transported to Sonora Quest Laboratories for analysis.

Laboratory Testing
Sonora Quest performs the ordered laboratory tests, which may include routine testing such as cholesterol panels, complete blood counts (CBC), metabolic panels, diabetes screening, or specialized testing as requested by your healthcare provider.

Results
Once testing is complete, the results are securely transmitted to your healthcare provider for review. Your provider will discuss the results with you as appropriate. If available, you may also access your laboratory results through the Sonora Quest patient portal.

Before Your Blood Draw
Some laboratory tests require special preparation, such as fasting or avoiding certain medications. Please follow any instructions provided by your healthcare provider or contact our office before your appointment if you have questions about how to prepare.
